Making your way in the world today takes everything you’ve got. Taking a break from all your worries sure would help a lot. Wouldn’t you like to get away? Instead of going to a stuffy bar where everybody knows your name and won’t leave you alone, why not take a drive a million miles from anywhere via what is referred to as the least traveled road in Colorado:

“Discover the quietest highway in the US, and find the most scenic, traffic-free highways in America state by state,” teases GeoTab, who recently named US Route 385 as the quietest road in Colorado.

Spanning 318 miles, Highway 385 runs from the Oklahoma state line up to Nebraska and passes through parts of Eastern Colorado that are overlooked.

The route passes through many cool Colorado towns, including Lamar, Cheyenne Wells, Wray, and Holyoke; however, most of the highway travels through beautiful wide open spaces.

If 318 miles isn’t enough for you and you want to keep the drive going, you can follow 385 in its 1,206-mile entirety, as it runs from Big Bend National Park in Texas all the way up to Deadwood, South Dakota.
