Have you stayed here before?

One of my favorite things to do is stay in a hotel. Whether we are doing a family staycation or are traveling halfway around the country, there is just something so fun about a new place, fluffy pillows, a continental breakfast, and watching HBO on someone else’s dime. While I love staying anywhere that is clean and comfortable, I also love staying somewhere with a lot of character, which is why I was thrilled to discover this iconic Colorado motel that hasn’t changed much in the last six decades:
Located in Steamboat Springs is the easy-to-recognize Rabbit Ears Motel, which features the famous pink rabbit that greets visitors at the entrance of Old Town, just as it has since 1952.

The Rabbit Ears Motel welcomes nearly 82,000 guests each year, many of which are repeat skiers or general tourists taking in a Rocky Mountain high.

…and even a free bus to and from the base of the mountain, it should come as no surprise that the Rabbit Ears have been a Steamboat go-to for the past six decades!

In addition to its wonderful accommodations and amenities, the Rabbit Ears is also a short walk away from beautiful downtown, which is why they joke that “Either they built Steamboat around our motel, or our motel was conveniently built in the center of all the action.”
