In the fall, there is nothing like being outside to enjoy the cooler temperatures, see the changing leaves, and, of course, pick your own fresh fruit! While there are several great places to pick your own fruit, flowers, and pumpkins around Colorado, our favorite spot of all has to be the beautiful Fruit Basket Orchards:
Located in Grand Junction, Fruit Basket Orchards is a charming 7.5-acre u-pick farm that has a little something for everyone!Open from mid-June through November, the Fruit Basket almost always has a new type of fruit ready to harvest, including numerous varieties of apples……Juicy peaches……Raspberries……And cherries.Are you looking for a ton of fresh fruit or just a few pieces? No matter your answer, you can buy as little or as much as you want at the Fruit Basket, which charges each haul by the pound.The Fruit Basket Orchard is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from mid-June through Labor Day and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Labor Day through mid-November.
