Want an indoor beach during winter?

If you live in the Centennial State, you have probably noticed that we are in the midst of the world’s longest winter, which is being presented to us with no end in sight. If you long for a warm beach and a tropical drink but do not have the funds to fly to Cozumel, do not despair, as you can still visit the beach-themed Island in Colorado:

Welcome to The Island, which is billed as America’s premier volleyball facility.
Home to a whopping six indoor and two outdoor volleyball courts, there is always something fun to see and do at The Island, which is full of real sand and colorful beach murals.
Can you picture yourself kicking back here with a drink in hand? We sure can!
How does one partake in beach volleyball at The Island? In addition to leagues, The Island offers drop-in hours that cost $7 per person per visit.
What is a beach without delicious food and fruity drinks? The on-site Island Bar & Grill has all of the above, including fresh seafood creations created by Executive Chef Dave Zaharia.
Seriously: Who needs the headache of long plane rides and customs when you can have THIS?!
The Island is open Sunday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m.
